pillow of the day

My favorite print today is this dramatic and girly necklace pattern designed by Kim Gledhill......100_1565
aside from being one of my personal favorites, I think that a room (or an outfit) designed around these fun shades of mustard, gray and gold would be outrageous and chic .......the color palette would keep it from being too feminine and the oversize necklaces would balance out the serious colors bc it's so fun & funky........rocco my doggie makes any room or outfit look better, he's the best.....buy a pair of them here!

target I love you but you keep letting me down

Picture_124 It pains me to admit this out loud because target and I have had aErinwh_2 looong love affair......but this is the last time i get my hopes up about a new go:international designer.  This latest attempt was probably most disappointing because I adore Erin Fetherston and her frothy creations with a passion and if I wore these clothes I would feel like I had a second rate version of the real thing.....I am all about mixing high&low, but something is just not right with these collections.......I get super excited waiting to see the collections, blog about them,  drool over the exquisite ad campaigns and then once I see the real thing, I stand there trying to talk myself into buying something.  Why does this keep happening?  Does anyone else feel my pain?  Erin, I'm sure you got a sweet deal but I'm heartbroken.  On the other hand, Rafe bags for Target are very nicely made and designed, so there is hope.

Martha Martha Martha

Last week was Ma's birthday so to celebrate we went to see a taping of the Martha Stewart show which just happens to tape just a couple blocks south of our showroom. Boy was it fun! I highly recommend it to anyone who lives in the tri-state area or happens to be visiting nyc in the near future. Tory Burch was there so there was a bit of a fashion show in Martha's greenhouse. Then Chef Laurent Tourondel showed Martha how to make some delicious cheese popovers which are just perfect for Thanksgiving.  Martha looks amazing in person and the set was overwhelmingly spectacular to stare at. It's massive (there are a total of 4 sinks in Martha's tv kitchen!) and the attention to detail is just exquisite.  You can reserve tickets to Marthas show here. And then make sure to tell us all about it!Img_0845

Freddy's old co-workers

As many of you know, Freddy spent a few years working at IDEO, the greatest design firm in all the land.  One of the best parts of working at IDEO was the amazing non-work related events.  Check out the video below to see why working there was so much fun :-)

Vote Totes in Accessories Magazine

Accessories_november_07 Our favorite trade rag, Accessories, featured our Vote Totes in their latest issue.  Very exciting how much press this product is receiving.  Hopefully it will help spread our message about the importance of VOTING in the next election!

Vote Totes in DailyCandy

Daily_candy_vote_tote_110607 Today DailyCandy had a nice little write up about the F&M Vote Tote.  We LOVE DailyCandy so as you can imagine we were very pleased to see this.  We are always amazed at how many people read DailyCandy, we had over 15,000 people swing by our site today and check out the vote tote (sales were up 10,458% over yesterday....that is not a typo).  Hopefully all those people will help spread the word that VOTING is the new pink for 2008.

flawless for fredericks

Picture_114Picture_115_2 Our favorite girl Dita Von Teese is front and center for a new campaign for Fredericks of Hollywood.  I must say, it was a smart move on their part to hire her; she brings a touch of class to what I would normally consider a slightly corny lingerie line......granted it's not Agent Provocateur, but it's kind of cute!  Especially if you look like Dita.
