turn your plastic bags into handbags

Cimg1749When you open your kitchen cabinet, do you have a ton of old plastic grocery bags?  We definitely do.   Starting in a month or so, Freddy&Ma is going to be offering a very unique product that is partially MADE from all those old bags under your sink.  We have figured out a way to turn old bags into a very cool fabric like material.  The picture on the left is a section of the material made from two Trader Joe's bags we had lying around.  It feels a lot like those indestructible FEDEX mailers and has a very cool layered appearance.

The plan is that you will mail us about 20 bags which we will magically turn into the fabric to be used on a Freddy&Ma Metro clutch.  It is a very labor intensive process and we are going to charge around $150.00 for the bag, but you will have an incredibly unique product.  Let us know if you are interested and we can put you on the pre-order list.  Stay tuned to the blog for updates on this product, we should have sample bag pictures in a few weeks.
