We just wanted to send a shout-out to our customers; they're pretty good at this bag design thing......We're always delighted and thrilled to see what combinations are going to take place.  These are some of our favorites from a recent shipment.

the quest for the perfect bag starts early....

How does one begin a handbag obsession?  My personal habit began very early on; not only by borrowing my mother's hot pink 80s clutch with matching pumps but, as evidenced by this picture, I had my own appropriately sized accessories.  I love to look back at my outfits over time and remember what I was thinking and how cool I thought I was with my aqua stirrup pants or triple layer slouch socks or doc martins with granny dresses (very 90210).  Let's not forget my ginormous hair sprayed/permed bangs, that's a look that should stay in the past forever.

movies in the park

One of my favorite traditions of NYC summer are the outdoor movies in Bryant Park......of course you want to be comfortable, but like everything else in this city, there's always a bit of a scene.....my most recent best ensemble included this Blouse, Cut-off bermudas, Tinkerbell necklace ,
Hobo, and Espadrilles so as not to sink my heels into the moist earth.  I can't wait for Charade, a classic Audrey Hepburn film, coming in August.

have you confessed?

I'm probably the last person in the United States to see the latest Madonna extravaganza but it was truly fantastic......all I can say is, Madonna critics, pipe down.........she's a true visionary, and inspiration and quite a performer (did I mention how stunning she is?)........I'm pretty sure she's earned the rite to do whatever she wants, personally & professionally.  Britney, Jessica and others, you'll never measure up.

Skimming all my new magazines for some ideas I came across a credit for Nordstrom which reminded me that I haven't checked out their website for a while (there's a very specific L.A.M.B dress that I'm trying to score)....I was delighted to find this dynamic little shop under "shop by designer" and of course even more thrilled to find the latest by Marc Jacobs, Missoni, etc.  Take a little tour for yourself ;  )

heat wave

It's unbearably hot in NYC right now and from what I'm hearing, all up and down the east coast.  Dressing in this weather is nothing short of impossible but I recommend keeping hair away from the face at all costs, some sweat-proof sunscreen, this lightweight cotton Tracy Feith dress (from one of my favorite sources, Anthropologie) our carry-all Hobo in a groovy Susie Ulsh print and Woven flats and some B.E. mineral veil, it really keeps your face looking pretty!
