This time of year is so tough in terms of clothes.....all the windows are crammed with sweaters and boots that are months away from being worn and you're sick of all your summer clothes but the thermometer is still reading in the high eighties.....I'm sure most fashionistas would totally disagree with me, but I really like shopping on the upper east side, Intermix always has cool stuff and I'm trying to singlehandedly resurrect French sole ( I know, Hollywood girls did that like four years ago) and there are many other delightful little stores scattered all over this neighborhood. 86th Street is being completely demolished, but they did reopen a much improved version of the Steve Madden store where I will be loading up on flats since the thought of heels makes me crinch lately (too much running around). I like this "fall is almost here" combo of dark denim shorts, my favorite F&M hobo that I carry 75% of the time with this dvf blouse that can be worn all through fall and winter, what with all the layering that will be going on, paired with my favorites, London Sole ballet flats in gold, tackling two big fall trends at once, metallics and plaids.
