back in new york

so after some down time in florida we're back hard at work at f&m......for some reason i get a little uneasy when i go away, probably because everything is so "easy" when you leave new york.....apartments are bigger and better, food is cheaper,  people are friendlier, and the list goes on......i think the reason i like nyc is because everything is a challenge here.....and for someone like me who has not really struggled that much to accomplish things that i want (well, sports were an unfortunate exception) NYC has been good for me.......if you don't want to work and push yourself here, you will drown.....NYC pushes you out of your comfort zone on a daily basis.....it makes you try harder and stay on your toes because if you don't someone will run right over you......some people say, why bother? why make it so hard on yourself? why struggle?  and i say, "why not"?  no one really appreciates anything they don't have to work hard for and i'm no exception to that rule -- needless to say, there's no place like home.
