my new mailbox is so small and the mailperson insists on cramming it full so checking the box lately is mostly annoying.....but today I remembered that LUCKY had called in a "Carina" clutch that might have been shot for the January issue and lo and behold, there it was! holiday photoshoot

Every shoot has challenges and this one was no exception.  We shot in a gorgeous Fort Greene brownstone (thanx Rachel & David) and had 12 changes and 3 sets of stairs and tons of clothing and equipment.  Major thanx goes to Corey, our fantastic photographer (among other things) and Heather Palmeri, one of our very own textile designers who worked tirelessly last Saturday.  The results are stunning...and I found one more way to make use of the vintage crinolines I love so much.

making my "mark"

I have a really good excuse for my lack of blogs posts...well, I suppose my birthday is not a good excuse, but I was jumping all around for 2 weeks speaking at colleges about Freddy&Ma and how I made my "mark", sponsored by Cosmopolitan magazine and Mark cosmetics. Both of these companies are amazing because they really want to promote women and individuality and they thought that I would be "inspiring" to young girls...needless to say, I was EXTREMELY flattered and a bit nervous but thanx to the fabulous crews from Mark/Cosmo, I got thru it and had a lot of fun....went to University of South Carolina (mom drove down to cheer me on), Johns Hopkins and University of Ohio (got to see my bff cate!). Met some great people and gained a new respect for people that travel several times a week for work, it's exhausting!!
