reason 103 to get an iphone

thanx to the influence of my boyfriend and brother, I have become obsessed with my iphone. so you can imagine my delight when I discovered TouchCloset, an app (that's short for application for those of you who are less tech savvy) that allows you to organize ALL of your clothing shoes, etc a la Cher's kick ass computer program in Clueless!! it's taking me quite a while to get photos of everything, but so worth it.

today is freddy's birthday! Happy Birthday to OUR president, "freddy".  Little known fact, freddy has a last name.  It's McClure.  Don't ask me why, I have no idea, we were like 5 years old when we made up our alter-egos, "freddy" and "ma".  But there you have it, 2 presidents in one day ;)

We are all part of history today. Believe it or not, we got several not so nice letters from folks who were very displeased (and even angry) that we wore our politial beliefs on our sleeves. Our OBAMA vote tote sales went above and beyond our projections and, as we hoped, predicted the outcome, buy yours here. Congratulations President Obama. Your victory has reminded this nation that anything is possible. We salute you.

I kind of sort of played hookey today...it was a winter wonderland outside and central park was calling my name. I ran five miles, said hello to the penguins and polar bears and did a quick run through the Met. God I love this city. xoxo ma

vintage rome

I only brought home 1 souvenier from my trip to Rome. I was delighted to find this fabulous green/aqua/gold herringbone coat in a vintage store not far from my hotel. It fits perfectly and appears to be practically brand new. The collar is fabulous and the pockets have a most interesting contour. All in all, a very very special find.
