dear diary

For years I have tried to keep a diary, a written journal of my thoughts and what's happening around me...this normally lasts about 3 days and then becomes tedious and then I start to get paranoid about someone else finding it...lately my diary has been my flickr page, where I can chronicle everything from a subway ride to an italian adventure.  Mostly I find myself taking photos of my outfits...which may seem vain or silly to some but I remember events in my life by the clothes that I was wearing...I've done this since I was a little kid and I find it very satisfying to look back and remember what I wore on my first date with my boyfriend, or our 6th date, or on a motorcycle trip with my dad...my clothing takes me back to that memory, feeling, or place. I peruse other people outfit's on a regular basis on fun sites like lookbook, the sartorialist, whatiwore, bohemian musings, my daily style, and weardrobe.

not so mellow yellow

This past month I've had an obsession with fluorescent yellow...nail polish, notebooks, shoes, tank tops, blouses, sunglasses, etc...next week I'm moving onto neon pink. Not kidding; skinny belt & pumps, not to be worn simultaneously (major no no).
