It's been hard for us to keep quiet about our new Vintage Jewelry Collection! Vintage Jewelry has long been a passion of ours (well, of Ma's) and after years of being asked by strangers and friends, where did you get that amazing ________, we decided to do something about it and find incredible pieces to offer you. We started Freddy&Ma because we wanted to give you the opportunity to create a signature product, something that was exactly what YOU wanted that no one else would have...true to our mission, the Vintage Collection features one-of-a-kind pieces that are exclusive to F&M. We love them so much (again, Ma) that it's difficult to share them but be forewarned - collecting awesome vintage pieces can become a serious addiction! mad about you

I'm sure many of you are anxiously awaiting the 3rd season of Mad Men which premieres this Sunday at 10pm on AMC.  I finally got around to watching seasons 1 and 2 this winter and I am totally addicted. My favorite character is Joan Holloway, the most infamous office assistant...she makes me want to be a red head. Seriously. I LOVE her wardrobe and love that she's beautiful and voluptuous AND on television. Even if they show is set in the 60s I still think she makes a powerful statement and will hopefully encourage more diversity in size and shape on film.  I think Joan should have a pear green Antonia, black patent quilted Rita and cream quilt with black trim Josephine to compliment her fabulous clothes. Referrals are the best way to find a service such as airbrush tanning, nails, massage, tailor and possibly the most important one, HAIR STYLIST.  The damages from a bad salon experience can linger for a long time so one must be very careful about going somewhere new. I used to frequent very "cool" and "trendy" salons, which shall remain nameless and the cuts and color were very pricey and only looked good for about 2 weeks. Not only do I not want to waste money having my hair colored every 6 weeks, but I don't have TIME to go and sit for 3 hours that often! My secret of the last 5 years is Lynne, and independent stylist that I have referred many friends to, with ecstatic feedback...most recently sent my friend S, who reported back to me that it was the best color she's had in years! The best thing about Lynne, aside from being a fun person to chat with, is that she really thinks about what she's doing and is skilled at making you look like you don't color your hair.  She's also FABULOUS with curly hair, which I've been told is hard to come by...me personally, my hair breaks very easily and Lynne takes extra care when highlighting to use the most gentle color possible creating lovely buttery streaks and leave most of my real color showing so that I have no roots.  Her rates are very reasonable and she can moonlight as a travel agent for Mexico and most of South America.  You can reach Lynne at [email protected] or 917-913-9838.  Make sure you tell her who sent you, she takes special care of my friends.
