so we have been inundated with gift certificate requests.  this is GREAT.  however, despite having one of the most advanced websites on the web, www.freddyandma.com is unable, at this time, to process gift certificate requests.  but never fear, we have a solution!

we couldn't have made giving the gift of design any easier!!!!  also, be sure to sign up for our mailing list, we have some very cool announcements coming up in the next few days!

things starting off slowly...

well, the website is now live and seems to be working properly (relief).  after the months of preparation, i must admit, it is more of a relief than anything else to finally be selling bags.  this week we are sending out the news that we are live to friends, family and others who we think might want to know.  next week we start targeting the media.  so far, we have had around 1000 people visit our site and design bags and from that a handful of orders have been generated.  we suspect a lot of people are taking their time and designing many different bags before they commit to buying their very own freddy&ma.  so hopefully, orders will continue to build and we can quickly get freddy&ma bags on the arms of stylish women all over the country!

as we are always on the lookout for help in the marketing/PR department, so if anyone has any contacts in the media or has any ideas for marketing stratagies you think we should try, by all means, EMAIL US!!!!

final touches...

so as our web developers put the finishing touches on the website, we have been busy getting everything setup to handle the onslaught, well, allright, small wave, of orders that we expect after the website goes live.  We crawled around on the factory floor counting rivets, buckles, zippers and hides and organized everything so as soon as you order your bag we can make it as quickly as possible.  We also received the new Freddy&Ma boxes which is what you can expect to see at your door a few weeks after placing your first bag order:-)  be sure to sign up for our mailing list so that you can qualify for some special deals immediately after launch!

F&M photoshoot - the movie

Ever wonder how many shots get taken during a photoshoot?  If so, click the link above to download a short flash movie that shows all of the shots from our recent F&M shoot.  Had we had more time, we probably would have taken twice this many pictures.  Now we must go through the tedious process of finding the "perfect" one for each scene!

photoshoot - part 1

Yesterday we had our first of two photoshoots for freddy&ma.  This one focused on taking pure product shots for use on the website and in some of the print media we are creating.   Jessica, our photographer, did an amazing job and despite the AVA trickery that has to be employed to properly position some of the bags, all the shots came out great.   With these product shots finished, we have the final collateral needed to finalize development on www.freddyandma.com .  Our crack team of web designers recently gave us a preview of the configurator that will allow you to build you own bag.  Our only reaction was 'wow'.   March is definitely going to come in like a lion this year!

well, almost exactly one year since freddy scribbled in his notebook the idea that would eventually become freddy&ma, our 'real' website is up and running.  our crack web design team has created a beautiful splash page that gives you a sneak peak at what is going to launch next month.

the more astute members of our readership may have noticed the radical changes to the decor in our online journal.  as many of you know, the original brand identity work for freddy&ma was nothing more than a placeholder as we worked on with our web developers on creating a final brand image.  as much as everyone loved the chocolate brown and robins egg blue, it became apparent after exploration that a web identity full of dark colors is somewhat limiting.  we hope you like our new design language & logo, we assure you that it will make a lot more sense once you see the final website :-)  for a sneak peak at the teaser that is launching on freddyandma.com soon, click here.
